TenSquared Gallery Presents: Intersections

A showcase of contemporary practices by black women artists, Intersections is a meeting place for perspectives on art making across a diverse palette of media. The show marks the first time that TenSquared —a digital gallery space— exhibits non-digital art in its 3D environment, thus becoming a tension point between the digital and the real.

From reimagined depictions of self to new attempts at combining abstracted forms; working on digital supports, video, printing, photography or painting, these artists engage with distinct aspects of contemporary living; pertaining to their bodies, pop-culture, hyperconnectivity, capitalism, and the intersection of race and gender.

Co-organized by Tensquared Gallery and Gaby Cepeda of Girls Of The Internet Museum

Artists: Caitlin Cherry, Moesha Ciel, E Jane, Nandi Loaf, Sandra Mujinga, Jessica Pettway, RAFiA, Tschabalala Self, Alake Shilling, Shader & Mhysa.
